So, I just finished Journey to One. Episode 3 is my least favorite out of all four, and the last one is my absolute favorite. First two are obviously in the middle. But now, as it's ever been so clear with the rumors, they wrapped it all up. Not spoiling, but Journey to One ended off with basically everything tied up to the point where pulling out a new story line would basically just be a reboot in it of itself. Yeah, they could continue it, but I doubt they'll just pull everyone back in for one more year.
Really sucks, because I feel ashamed that I wasn't able to get pretty much any of the sets due to money situations. So I feel bad because I wasn't able to support the line at all. Like I was part of the problem that didn't help Bionicle do as well as it could have. There is the whole "You alone don't make the difference when compared to thousands" way of thinking, but when you're part of a small fanbase, you feel like you should help support it any way you can.
That being said, journey to One probably is my favorite animated Bionicle thing., Like, the original trilogy will always hold a place in my heart, and Legend Reborn will always make me laugh for better or worse, but Journey to One is really good. not the prime telling of Bionicle's storyline, but good. Really hope that if Bionicle does ever come back for a third Generation they outright put out a nice, long Bionicle TV series at the Beginning as opposed to making eight golden masks for contests (Or at least not have six of them go to a twitter contest where I could take a picture of a garbage can and win).
Now, if you'll excuse me, I"m going to go and do what I did in 2010. Cry about my beloved childhood series dying, and blame it on Hero Factory. There's some context where this makes logical sense, i assure you.
